Suruchi - Enhancing Skills to Keep Up with Times
The aim of Suruchi (Welfare) is to bring about financial independence and confidence in ladies by teaching them various skills. Welfare being the focal point for CGWWA, various steps have been taken to bring out as well as inculcate various skills in the ladies. Regular classes and demonstrations such as painting, tailoring, embroidery, beautician, etc. are conducted at CGWWA welfare centres|

On 26th Oct 2024, Diwali Mela was organized depicting the vibrance of the festival.
On the occasion of Children’s day team Suruchi conducted a drawing competition, tattoo making, pottery making, magic show for the children on 14th Nov 24.
An activity on “Shawl Styling Ideas” was conducted on 13th Dec 2024 at Arkaja, Kalyan Kendra, Noida. The event also included a demonstration on “Amla Barfi and Candy”.
Suruchi organized a demo on ‘Self Defence’ at CGWWA Centre, Sri Vijaya Puram on 16 th Oct 24.
As part of Christmas Celebration “Cakes, Cookies and Chocolate Making Competition” was organised on 18 th Dec 24.
Tatrakshikas at Diglipur conducted a lecture on vertical farming and also a demonstration on ‘’How to make cake’’ on 24 th Dec 24.
Children’s day was celebrated on 14 th Nov 24 at motivational hall, DHQ-10.
A demonstration on ‘Secrete Homemade Skincare Formulas’ was organised on 06th Dec 24 at CGWWA Centre.
A demonstration on ‘Best out of Waste’ was organised on 26th Dec 24.
CGWWA Garba night was conducted on 06th Oct 24 in Station activity room.
Team Suruchi conducted Resin Art Demonstration on 08th Nov 24.
A demo on Various types of Thread bangle making was conducted on 22nd Dec 24.
CGWWA members actively participated in Diwali mela and decorated the food stall for Diwali mela.
As Part of “Tatrakshika Day Celebration“ an event of Tug of War for CGWWA Members was organised on 28th Nov 24.
Dandiya dance celebration was organised on 18th Sep 24 at CGWWA.
A lecture/ demo on “Candle Making ” on 18th Dec 24 was conducted.
A demonstration on natural homemade face packs was conducted on 15th Nov 24.
A Demonstration of Self-Defence for Women was organised for ladies of Tatrakshika (NE) on 22th Oct 24.
A lecture cum demonstration on self grooming by VLCC, was organised for ladies on 26th Dec 24 at CGWWA Centre, CGRA Maniktala
Painting competition was organized for Tatrakshikas at Community Centre, CGRA Bhubaneswar on 28th Oct 24.
Sweet making competition was organized on 26th Dec 24.
The flameless cooking competition was organised at CGKG Paradip on 20th Nov 24.
Painting Class by Tata Steel Foundation was conducted for CGWWA members and children on 10th Nov 24.
On 25 th Oct 24, a demo on "process of making baatis from ghee" was conducted.
On 14th Nov 24, a drawing competition for CG wards was conducted by CGWWA on the occasion of Children’s Day
On the Occasion of Christmas, Magic show was organised for wards of Coast Guard personnel on 19th Dec 24.
A safety demonstration on LPG cylinder handling was conducted by Indane Gas Agency on 15 th Oct 24.
Mehandi competition was organised by CGWWA welfare team on 19 th Oct 24.
Garba night was celebrated by CGWWA, Jakhau on the occasion of “Navratri” on 11th Oct 24.
A demonstration on makeup was organised at CGWWA centre on 16th Nov 24.
“Demo of facial” was conducted by CGWWA, Jakhau on 04th Dec 24.
On 17th Oct 2024, a welfare activity featuring a Rangoli-making competition was held at the Family Welfare Centre, Vadinar.
A picnic cum visit was organised at Marine National Park, Narara on 23 th Nov 24.
On 20 th Dec 24, Suruchi wing of CGWWA Vadinar conducted an activity on art of thread work & creative designs on fabric, fostering sustainability & rural empowerment.
On 24th Oct 24, a lecture on the water healing technique was organized by Team Suruchi at the Family Welfare Centre.
On 26th Oct 24 Diwali Mela was organized for troops at Porbandar. Welfare team organized vibrant CGWWA stalls in the Diwali Mela.
22th Nov 24, a workshop on Cheriyal Mask Making at Family Welfare Centre, Porbandar was organized.
A demonstration on self-makeup was given on 17th Dec 2024.
On 7 Oct 2024, Team Suruchi (welfare) organized a vibrant Dandiya stick decoration as well as basic steps for dandiya raas.
Team Suruchi conducted a "Self-Makeup and Hairstyling Workshop" on 11th Nov 2024.
The Abacus Class Felicitation Ceremony was held on 07th Dec 2024 at Welfare Centre,TRV.
On 25 Oct 24,a demonstration “The artistry of candle making”, accompanied by exhibitions and a sale of handcrafted candles was conducted.
On 11th Nov 24 with aims to promote millets and highlight the culinary talents of the ladies a competition was held.
On 17th Dec 24 “Demonstration on Woolen wall hanging” was conducted in CGWWA welfare centre.
On 18th Oct 24, a “Rangoli Making Competition” was organised.
Suruchi (Welfare) Committee put up a mehendi stall at the Diwali mela on 30th Oct 24.
A Nail Art Workshop was conducted on 23rd Dec 24.
