Seizure of 86 Kgs Heroin & Methamphetamine from Pakistan Fishing Boat AL-RAZA (BFD – 8901).

On April 22, 2024, post receipt of intelligence inputs regarding likely carriage and transshipment of contraband by a Pakistani Fishing Boat (PFB) near notional IMBL, ICGS Rajratan alongwith two reps from ATS Gujarat embarked for joint operation. After a protracted hot pursuit of about 45 minutes, ICG boarded the hostile boat & after thorough rummaging 78 pkts of contraband of total weight 86 Kgs (Heroine & Methamphetamine) worth ₹ 600 Cr were seized

Seizure of 6016.870 Kg Methamphetamine.

On November 23, 2024, ICG Maritime Reconnaissance (MR) aircraft during surveillance, located a suspicious boat in Andaman seas. A sea-air coordinated operation was then launched by ICG. The boat was boarded and found to be of Myanmar origin. During investigation and rummaging, white powder like substance wrapped in tea packets were found. The boat alongwith 06 Myanmarese crew were apprehended. On arrival in harbour, a joint investigation and thorough rummaging of the boat was carried out along with police and representatives of other agencies. The presence of Methamphetamine was confirmed by the chemical test. A total of 6016.87 Kilograms of Methamphetamine worth ₹ 36,000.00 Crores (approx.) was recovered from the boat, making it the biggest haul ever at sea by Indian Coast Guard.

Seizure of 53.52 Kgs Marijuana.

On 29 Jan 25 at 0910 Hrs, based on local int inputs ICG ACV during area surveillance sighted 12 suspicious packets on First Island in position 2.8 NM South East of Dhanushkodi Lt and recovered 53.62 Kgs of Marijuana valued at approx ₹60 Lakh. The consignment was handed over to Customs for further legal action.

Seizure of Hashish Oil.

On 05 Mar 25, on receipt of information from DRI, ICG intercepted the Tug TB Shwe Lin Yone alongwith dumb barge (COMARCO 2101) (with 09 crew) off Kanyakumari and recovered two suspicious bags containing 29 packets of Hashish Oil (29.950 Kilograms) worth ₹ 32.94 Crore. Additionally, 10 mobile phones and one satellite phone were also seized from the vessel. The tug, barge and crew alongwith consignment were handed over to DRI, Tuticorin for further legal action.

Seizure of 307.50 Kg Narcotics.

On 12 & 13 Apr 25, ICG in a joint operation with Gujarat ATS, seized 307.50 Kilograms narcotic worth ₹1800 Crore off Gujarat coast. The seized consignments were handed over to ATS for further legal action.

Seizure of Ganja at Mandapam.

On 11-12 Oct 25, ICG Mandapam carried out a joint operation with CSG and Customs and carried out coordinated search operations off Morepannai, Thirupalaikudi and Mullimunai. A total of 55 Kg of Ganja in 24 packets were seized (07 packets – 20 Kg by ICG and 17 packets – 35 Kg by CSG) during the joint operation. The estimated market value of the contraband is approx. ₹ 1.1 Crore. The seized contraband was handed over to CGS Thondi for further legal action.

Seizure of Hashish Oil off Pamban.

On 19 Dec 25, ICGS Mandapam (while carrying out surveillance in area) carried out a joint operation with Central Intelligence Unit (CIU) Tiruchirappalli. The team sighted a suspicious fishing boat beached off Pamban sea shore and on sighting, the crew fled off. Post thorough rummaging of the boat, 9.56 Kg of Hashish Oil was seized. The market value of the seized narcotics is approx ₹ 09 Cr. The boat alongwith the narcotics were handed over to CIU Tiruchirappalli for further legal action.

Seizure of 99 Kg Hashish.

On 04 Mar 24, based on specific Intelligence input, Indian Coast Guard in a joint operation with DRI seized 99 Kg of Hashish from IFB near Indo-Sri Lanka IMBL. The estimated commercial value of the consignment is approximately ₹ 108 Cr.

Seizure of 80 Kg Narcotics.

On 12 Mar 24, based on specific Intelligence input, Indian Coast Guard in a joint operation with ATS Gujarat & NCB apprehended a Pakistani Boat with 06 crew and seized 80 Kg of Narcotics worth ₹ 480 Cr. The Boat was apprehended about 350 Km from Porbandar into Arabian Sea.
