Saksharta - Lighting the lamp of knowledge
Literacy is the most basic currency of the knowledge economy. CGWWA has been waging a war against illiteracy. It aims for a hundred percent literacy level within the Coast Guard community. Towards this end, it conducts adult literacy classes, which target those wives from rural areas who have not had the opportunity of a formal education. Saksharta also conducts spoken English classes and basic computer classes. Workshops, visits and lectures on topics of general interest and awareness like computer literacy, money investment and savings schemes, etc., also come within the purview of the Saksharta scheme. CGWWA encourages and acknowledges children who perform exceptionally well in senior classes.

A demonstration on making of Eco Friendly Flower Incense cups was organised on 22th Oct 24.
A demo cum workshop on making of “Wedding Gift Envelope and Hamper” event was organised on 13th Dec 24.
CGWWA Paradip organised an environment activity on “Mangroves- symbol of life and resilience” on 09th Nov 24.
On 06 th Oct 24, a Nature Scavenger Hunt & Art Creation Activity was organised.
On the 14th Nov 24, demonstration on making kite & paper bags from newspaper was given to children.
Lecture on “Understanding Children’s Emotions” was conducted for CGWWA members on 16 th Nov 24.
An awareness lecture on Emotional Behaviour was conducted on 17th Oct 24 at Navrang Auditorium.
On 24th Oct 24, a knowledge-based fun quiz competition for Tatrakshikas was organized at Family Welfare Centre
On the eve of Children's Day 14th Nov 24, an exciting quiz competition for Children was organized.
A lecture on financial awareness and various precautions to be taken while doing online transactions was organised on 08 th Oct 24.
On 09th Dec 24, an inspiring Career Guidance lecture on “Career Opportunity” was organised.
On 17th Dec 24, a visit was organized for school children of CG personnel to Naval Maritime Museum.
