(a)  Training of Coast Guard Personnel on statutory duties and functions of Coast Guard towards professional excellence.
 

(b)  Impart quality training to personnel of other organisations on maritime subjects.
 

(c)  Undertake development in training for officers and enrolled personnel of all ranks in the service by designing new courses.
 

(d)  Introduce the aspect of research into the training curriculum and establish as centre for excellence in Maritime safety & security studies.

(e)  To make this centre into think tank and academic centre for studies in Maritime Safety, Security including Coastal Security.
 

(f)  To professionally train officers and men of littoral Coast Guard Organisations.
