Union Minister of State for Defence Shri Ajay Bhatt inaugurated the Indian Coast Guard (ICG) jetty at Vadinar as a step towards augmenting infrastructure development in the ICG's strategically important North-West region. While inaugurating the jetty on 01 Mar 24, the Union Minister lauded the role played by the ICG in safeguarding national maritime interests in its Areas of Responsibility. Director General Rakesh Pal, AVSM, PTM, TM, Director General Indian Coast Guard, Inspector General A K Harbola, TM, COMCG(NW) and other dignitaries were present on the occasion.

Regional M-SAR and PR Seminar workshop was conducted by CGDHQ-1 on 19-20 Mar 24 at Porbandar to check the preparedness, response of various stakeholders and improve the coordination to deal with distress/situation and also to validate the operational capabilities of various oil handling/resource agencies including ports in handling contingencies arising from small and medium level oil spill.

Successful Joint operation was carried out by ICGS Rajratan along with ATS & NCB wherein Narcotics worth Rs.480 Cr ( Approx.) was seized at sea on 08 Mar 24.
