The 19th refresher course for M-SAR personnel was conducted at CGRHQ (E) from 13-15 Dec 23 at Chennai. The training was imparted to 22 participants comprising of 14 ICG personnel and 08 officials from local & civil authorities including instructors from INMCC and AAI.

Relief material was airdropped through ICG helicopter embarked onboard ICGS Sujay on 19 Dec 23.

The DRTs evacuated 758 stranded personnel from inundated areas which includes pregnant ladies, elderly person/senior citizen. Two ALH (CG 860 & CG 868) were extensively flown from Madurai to flood affected areas and dropped approximately 1700 food packets and 7000 kg food materials in the affected areas.
