SANJEEVAN - HEALTHY SOUL HEALHTY MINDS
The first step towards a healthy mind & body is – Awareness, which is what Sanjeevan, the health wing of CGWWA predominantly does. The reaching out is done primarily by organizing lectures on important topics such as Health, Hygiene & Nutrition, creating awareness on the potentially fatal AIDS & Cancer detection, coordinating drives on Blood donation and awareness camps for mothers on Health care. Yoga & meditation classes form the key drivers for promoting good mental health. Sanjeevan also facilitates counselling for those in need to promote and further its aim of a healthy mind.
Activities undertaken by Sanjeevan are as Follows : -

On 06 Nov 23, the CGWWA Health Committee delivered a comprehensive presentation on the benefits of different types of herbs by Dr. Saroj Kumar Debnath (MD) Ayu and Dr. Ankush Paul (MD) Ayu at the welfare Centre.
A medical lecture on “Healthcare and Hygiene” for families of CG personnel at Mayabunder, local community and students of MGG College Mayabunder was conducted at MGGCollege Mayabunder on 08 Nov 23.
A menstrual hygiene workshop was conducted on01 Oct 23 by Surg Lt Cdr Jishnu Raj, Station Medical Officer ICGS Hut Bay for CGWWA members and DRL.
In collaboration with the Art of Living Foundation, a meditation and mental health workshop was conducted.
Tatrakshika Day Celebrations started with a health camp on 29 Nov 23 organised by the CGWWA health coordinator.
A Medical camp was conducted by PHC Campbell Bay and DHQ-10 on 16 Dec 23.
A lecture cum presentation on Mahavari was conducted by Dr.Nidhi Tiwari at Campbell Bay to Commemorate the occasion of Sawachta hi Sewa Campaign on 01 Oct 23.
Lecture on Menstrual Hygiene followed by demonstration of Yoga Asanas to reduce menstrual cramps by Community Health Centre (CHC), Diglipur was organised in Tatrakshika Kendra of Coast Guard DHQ-9 on 01 Oct 23.
