SURUCHI - ENHANCING SKILLS TO KEEP UP WITH TIMES
The aim of Suruchi (Welfare) is to bring about financial independence and confidence in ladies by teaching them various skills. Welfare being the focal point for CGWWA, various steps have been taken to bring out as well as inculcate various skills in the ladies. Regular classes and demonstrations such as painting, tailoring, embroidery, beautician, etc. are conducted at CGWWA welfare centres

On 18 Oct 23,different types of Diwali sweets and snacks were taught to ladies.
Garbha dance classes were organised from 04-14 Oct 23 for Tatrakshikas of Okha.
Diwali mela was organised at CGDHQ-15, on02 Nov 23.
Yoga classes were conducted from 20 Nov 23 for 10 days to impart Yoga training to Tatrakshikas of Okha.
Team welfare coordinated an exhibition of sarees, lehengas, artificial jewellery and ethnic co-ord sets on 04 Oct 23 at Family Welfare Centre, Porbandar.
On the festive occasion of Navratri, Garbha classes were conducted from 05 Oct 23 to 15 Oct 23 at Family Welfare Centre, Porbandar exclusively for ladies.
In order to provide exposure to swimming to kids of Coast Guard fraternity, swimming classes were organized from 01 Oct 23 to 27 Nov 23 at CGDHQ Swimming pool, Porbandar.
Welfare team put up a stall during “Diwali Mela” on10 Nov 23 at DHQ, Porbandar.
To commemorate the occasion of Children’s Day, welfare team organised screening of movie on 20 Nov 23 at CGAE Amphitheatre for the children of Coast Guard Fraternity.
On 12 Dec 23, a demonstration was organized by the welfare team at Family Welfare Centre, Porbandar.
On 22 Dec 23, welfare team organized a demonstration on Candle Making at Family Welfare Centre, Porbandar.
On 23 Oct 2023, during occasion of Navratri, a Garbha competition was conducted at CGRA Naliya premises
The festival of Navratri was celebrated on 22 Oct 23.
A visit for all CGWWA members was organised at Hotel Darshan on 02 Oct 23.
Demonstration of cake baking and cooking competition was conducted at Family Welfare Centre for CGWWA members on 26 Sep 23.
