SURUCHI - ENHANCING SKILLS TO KEEP UP WITH TIMES
The aim of Suruchi (Welfare) is to bring about financial independence and confidence in ladies by teaching them various skills. Welfare being the focal point for CGWWA, various steps have been taken to bring out as well as inculcate various skills in the ladies. Regular classes and demonstrations such as painting, tailoring, embroidery, beautician, etc. are conducted at CGWWA welfare centres

Different types of saree draping activity were conducted at CGRA Royapuram in which six drapes were demonstrated.
As a part of welfare activity “A Hand Embroidery” competition was held at Welfare Centre, Royapuram.
Demo on ‘Best out of Waste” using saree and dupatta was given by Mrs. Santresh Devi.
On the occasion of Diwali, CGWWA stall was set up at CGRA, Meenambakkam during Diwali Mela.
Drawing and painting competition for school children on children’s day was organised at Badminton Court, CGRA Meenambakkam.
A demo on “How to make LittiChokha in Bihari Style” was held at Welfare Centre, Meenambakkam.
Rangoli competition and Diya making demonstration was organised at Welfare Centre.
Meditation camp was organised for CGWWA members at Aurobindo Ashram, Puducherry on 28 Oct 23.
CGWWA members meeting was organised at ICGS Puduchery on 31 Oct 23 to celebrate KarwaChauth.
On 29 Nov 23,Welfare Committee delivered a demo and presentation on ‘Importance of Menstrual Hygiene.’
A ‘Rangoli Competition’ was organized on 01 Dec 23 where in the Rangoli was prepared using millets items like Kodo, Maize, Jwar, Bajra etc.
On 21 Oct 23, the welfare unit of CGWWA Tuticorin had arranged a demo on “Decoration of Dandiya Sticks”
On 11 Nov 23,the welfare unit of CGWWA Tuticorin had organized Children day celebration.
A Saree Draping activity was conducted on 10 Oct 23.
On 03 Nov 23, a welfare activity was organized in which Punjabi suits, dress materials, accessories, ladies shoes etc. were displayed for CG fraternity at a special discounted price
A welfare activity “Demo on Christmas cookies” was organised at family welfare centre on 06 Dec 23.
CGWWA ‘Milan’ was organised on 11 Oct 23 on the occasion of “painting fabric design” class. Various topics on the subject were discussed.
Milan was conducted on 10 Nov 23 as part of Diwali Celebration and station’s 17th Anniversary.
CGWWA Krishnapatnam celebrated the Diwali Mela on 12 Nov 23 and CGWWA members started the program by lighting the lamp. They also established a stall in the Diwali Mela.
