SURUCHI - ENHANCING SKILLS TO KEEP UP WITH TIMES
The aim of Suruchi (Welfare) is to bring about financial independence and confidence in ladies by teaching them various skills. Welfare being the focal point for CGWWA, various steps have been taken to bring out as well as inculcate various skills in the ladies. Regular classes and demonstrations such as painting, tailoring, embroidery, beautician, etc. are conducted at CGWWA welfare centres

A demo on paper bag making was held on 14 Sep 23 at CGWWA Center, Port Blair.
The ladies of CGWWA, (Port Blair) marked the occasion of Navratri with a festive celebration on 21 Oct 23 at CGWWA Centre with traditional Dandiya Dance performances by the ladies of CG personnel.
On the occasion of KarwaChauth, ladies CGWWA (Port Blair) organized two days “Mehandi Workshop” on 30-31 Oct 23 at CGWWA Centre.
CGWWA Welfare Committee organized a demo on “Millet Recipes” by chef at Peerless Resort, Port Blair on 19 Nov 23.
As a part of Welfare Activity, a demo on Decoupage on bottles was presented to ladies on 21 Dec 23 in CGWWA Centre, Port Blair.
A lecture on 'SwasthMukh SwasthShareer' to create awareness about the benefits of good Dental Hygiene was conducted on 02 Oct 23.
Stitching facility was started by Mrs Kalyani from the month of Nov 23.
A demonstration of painting on glass bottle with acrylic colour was organised on 24 Sep 23.
