Inspector General K R Suresh, TM, COMCG (A&N) visited CGAE (PBR) & Coast Guard Regional Store Depot on 20 May 17 and 22 May 17 respectively. COMCG (A&N) interacted with Ship's Company during his visit.

Anti Terrorism day was observed on 21 May 17 by various units under command. Various activities like  pledge against terrorism, awareness lectures and discussions were conducted.

Swachh Bharat Abhiyan

As part of "Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan" ICGS Vishwast, ICGS Kamorta and CGAE(PBR) conducted various activities like garbage disposal, cleanship of jetty and work areas at  Port Blair, Kamorta and Nayagaon between 01-13 May 17. All ICG Personnel actively participated in the event

ICGS Kamorta conducted Volley Ball Match with ICGS Bhikhaji Cama on 09 May 17 at  iving accommodation Ground (Kamorta) to encourage CG personnel for participating in sports

ICGS Rajshree conducted a lecture and demo on utility of hand held GPS and map reading to Indian Reserve Battalion (IRBn) on 15 May17 at Port Blair.

Community Interaction Programme (CIP)

ICGS Bhikaji Cama and Rajshree conducted Community Interaction Programme for the fishing community at Bompoka Island and Laxmi Nagar on 23 May 17. Fisher folks were advised to carry original (un laminated) bio-metric identity cards whilst proceeding to sea for enabling verification through bio-metric card readers by ICG ships and also briefed about the safety of life at sea, violation of IMBL, adherence to weather warning, fishing banned period etc. The fishermen were also briefed  on the procedure for donning of life jackets, usages of SART, DAT, life saving appliances, usage of toll free SAR No. 1554/1093 and enhancing safety awareness among the fishermen.
