Community Interaction Programme (CIP)

ICGS Amogh conducted Community Interaction Programme for the fishing community at Nehru Bunglow, Paradip on 25 Mar 17. Fisher folks were advised to carry original (non-laminated) bio-metric identity cards whilst proceeding to sea for enabling verification through bio-metric card readers by ICG ships. The fishermen were briefed about protection and preservation of marine environment with emphasis on use of TED for protection of Ridely turtles, Keeping vigil at sea and informing Coast Guard if any suspicious activity is observed,  Fishing ban near IMBL view Bangladesh authorities have invoked ‘Hilsa Protection Operation’ and procedure for donning life jackets, usages of SART, DAT, life saving appliances, toll free SAR No. 1554/1093 and enhancing safety awareness among the fishermen.
