Coast Guard Region Headquarters (NE) organised a Troops-Get-Together at Eastern Zonal Cultural Center Hall Saltlake, Kolkata on 27 Jan 17.  All Personnel along  with  families attended the event.

Motor Cycle Rally

As a part of CG Day celebrations, Motorcycle rally was conducted at Kolkata from 19-24 Jan 17. The rally covered a total distance of 1135 Kms in the duration of 06 days. Rally started from Kolkata covering various places including Digha, Dhamara, Paradip, Chandipur, Contai, Haldia and reaching back to Kolkata.

CGRHQ(NE), ICGS Kolkata and ICGS Vajra conducted medical camp for the fishermen at Patagratha Gram Panchayat Office and  fishing harbour, Paradip on 10 Jan 17 and 21 Jan 17 respectively.

ICGS Amogh conducted Community Interaction Programme for the fishing community at Sea on 31 Jan 17. Fisher folks were advised to carry original (non-laminated) bio-metric identity cards whilst proceeding to sea for enabling verification through bio-metric card readers by ICG ships. The fishermen were briefed about protection and preservation of marine environment with emphasis on use of TED for protection of Ridely turtles, Keeping vigil at sea and informing Coast Guard if any suspicious activity is observed,  Fishing ban near IMBL view Bangladesh authorities have invoked ‘Hilsa Protection Operation’ and procedure for donning life jackets, usages of SART, DAT, life saving appliances, toll free SAR No. 1554/1093 and enhancing safety awareness among the fishermen.
